About Me

About Me and Tea:

Spot or pot, I love a cup!
I learned to drink tea while living in Dublin in the early 80’s, so as you can imagine, I am a hearty brew lover, and take most teas with milk and honey. I am trying to expand my horizons with tea….that is why I've created this blog...to chronicle my journey along the way.
Currently loving strong black teas that hold up to milk and honey well. Since I’ve joined, I have a new found curiosity for keemuns and yunnans, now venturing into darjeelings with baby steps. Trying green teas….trying. Herbal? No thanks…most still taste like vase water to me. Maybe that will change one day...but I am always willing to try!
I do like a few naturally flavoured teas…almond, vanilla, cardamom, ginger. But mostly I’m an unflavoured tea drinker.
On a more personal note, I live on a little patch of land in the foothills above San Diego with goats, chickens, horses, cats, husband and anything else that decides to mosey on through the property. Husband sometimes is the last to get fed, but he pretends he doesn't mind. My passions? Kindness, music, intelligent unpretentious conversation, books, cats, tea, laughing.  Mindfulness is something I'm working on if I remember to do so.  Funny how that works.....
